Floyd Mayweather Jr. will return to the ring after a 19-month retirement from competition. Mayweather Jr. sports a professional record of 39 wins and 0 losses with 25 wins coming by way of knockout. The Grand Rapids, Michigan fighter last fought on December 8th of 2007 earning a 10 round TKO victory over British fighter Ricky Hatton. Prior to his victory over Ricky Hatton, Floyd Mayweather Jr. earned a 12 round split decision victory over Oscar De La Hoya.

Juan Manuel Marquez of Mexico City, Mexico will enter the ring on July 18th with a professional record of 55 wins and 4 losses with a draw with 37 wins by knockout. The 35-year-old Mexican fighter last fought on February 8th of this year beating Juan Diaz by TKO. Prior to Marquez’ victory over Diaz he earned a TKO win over Joel Casamayor. Those were impressive knockout victories but the 35 year old fighter will have his hands full with the quicker and younger opponent.

These two fighters must have to end their match extremely to fit and match in facing Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao. What can you say about this fight? Who will win, Mayweather or Marquez?
