Click here for the replay.Earlier: On August 9, 2009, two World Extreme Cagefighting bantamweight juggernauts will collide as the unstoppable Miguel Torres (37-1) defends his bantamweight title against undefeated and top contender Brian Bowles (7-0) as the main event. The “Torres vs. Bowles” will take place at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
Torres, is considered to be among the best pound-for-pound fighters in the sport, hopes a win in August will cement his status as the best fighter in 135-pound history. Torres is arguably the most dominant fighter in any weight class in the world. On the other hand, Bowles is a very credible challenger despite having only seven professional fights, and has continually stepped up in competition and destroyed all of his opponents. So, if Bowles wants to keep his unblemished record intact he is going to have his work cut out for Torres.
Also on the card are top bantamweights Takeya Mizugaki, Joeseph Benavidez, and Rani Yahya along with top featherweight Leonard Garcia.
