Costa Rica will take on Canada in a must win match on Friday, July 10, 2009 at the Florida International University Stadium in Miami, Florida. The Ticos need to beat the group leaders with a comfortable margin if they want to keep their CONCACAF Gold Cup 2009 dreams alive.

The Ticos, who stand atop of the World Cup qualifiers, lost 2-1 to El Salvador in the opening game but recovered taking a 1-0 victory over Jamaica. On the other side, Canada stunned everyone and now lead Group A with two victories in two games: 1-0 over Jamaica and 1-0 over El Salvador.
