Confederations Cup 2009 Finals - USA vs. Brazil

Update: Brazil won the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup finals after beating United States 3-2.

In their first meeting in the tournament, Brazil won 3-0 against United States. But now United States gets another chance to bounce back against the defending champion Brazil in the 2009 Confederation Cup finals at the Ellis Park, Johannesburg in South Africa on June 28, 2009 at 18:30 GMT. USA vs. Brazil match will broadcast live on ESPN and Univision at 2:30 PM ET.

USA headed to its first international tournament final with an upset win over Spain in the Confederations Cup. For sure USA will try to keep up what they did against Spain to win the title. But against Brazil, USA players will have to play at their best and use their counter attack strategy and guard Kaka if they want to beat Brazil and win the championship.

Brazil ended South Africa's bid for the title as they beat the host team 1-0 in their semi-final match on Thursday night. Daniel Alves scored via free kick, the only goal in the 88 minutes of play. Brazil will try to do some adjustments against USA in the finals because they believe that they were outplayed by South Africa despite their victory. Brazil are making their fourth appearance in the Confederations Cup finals and looking for their record-setting third title.

Also watch Spain vs. South Africa as they battle for the 3rd place.
